Assist Resident Portal
The Assist Resident Portal is where your residents can login to ask for help and check the status of their maintenance tickets, view announcements, make payments, check outstanding balances, and more.
Inviting New Residents
There are several ways to get new and existing residents added to the resident portal - including bulk invites sent out to all users, a clickable link included in a welcome email, or manual invitation of individual users.
Sending Bulk Invites
Provided you have the current tenant email and/or phone details in the system, you can dispatch bulk invitations to all residents. The invitation will contain a link for portal registration, prompting residents to input their name, phone number, and select their unit. If this data aligns with the existing system information, their account will be automatically created. Should the information not align, it will require approval from an Organization Admin. Invitations can be issued at the company-wide level or specifically at the property/unit level. They will only be sent to emails not linked to an active account and can be resent as often as necessary.
1. Navigate to Configuration on the sidebar menu.
2. Select Resident Portal.
3. Click Bulk Send Invites.
4. Select the property, unit, and method of delivery. If a property is selected but no unit, invites will be sent to the entire property. If no property or unit is selected, invites will be sent to the entire organization. You can toggle between email or SMS for delivery options. Any residents with an account already active will not receive an invite.
Inviting Residents Using An Invite Link
New users can also be invited using a generated invite link that can be found in the Residents section of your Assist dashboard. This link can be sent as part of a welcome email at signing or move-in and is available for repeated use.
1. Navigate to Residents in the sidebar menu.
2. Toggle to Join Requests at the top of the screen.
3. Click Invite Link. This will copy the link to your clipboard.
4. This link can be added to welcome emails, sent to multiple residents or to individual tenants as needed, and can be posted to your main website to facilitate signups for the Resident Portal. If a new resident uses the link to sign up, they will need to be approved by an Admin before their account is active.
